Have you successfully downloaded the APP and installed to your device.. and logged in?
Or are you unable to login / is there some other error displayed?

So, when using 3G and 4G you are expecting to be able to connect to the set top box?
Connecting direct to the STB (and seeing what is currently playing) is only available when connected to your home network (the same network the STB is connected to). You can still stream live selected channels/programmes as well as recordings and set recordings/delete recordings whilst on 3G or 4G
Does this answer your question, or are you trying to do something else?

hi grant I cannot stream any freeview channels and if I go onto aljazeera it states to watch this programconnect your mobile device to the same WiFi network as your stbat home. Im on 4g at the moment . All I want to do is record a progam if im away or watch it . It doesnt seem to do this unless it switched to WiFi only

The main FTA channels will not allow streaming on Mobile. You would need to use their own APP to do this on 3G/4G
Channel WIFI Streaming 3G/4G Streaming
TVNZ1 No No
TVNZ2 No No
THREE No No
PRIME Yes (select programmes) Yes (select programmes)
Al Jazeera: Correct, some channels do not allow out of home viewing (3G/4G) but allow streaming when connected to your home wifi network (the same network as your connected STB). This is controlled by rights by the external channel provider.
There is no impact to setting programmes to record, you can do this on 3G/4G or Wifi.
Hope this helps.
