Interesting, sounds like a similar issue to what I have had, occasional issues turning on and black screen with power light on. Will wait for said update to monitor the situation. Overall, issues aside, I rate the product.

Hi, I have this exact same issue. can't turn the box on via remote from standby.
Batteries are fine.
Had the box about 3 weeks.
How do you do a reset?

I still haven't found a solution. A person on this forum JamRam is giving me one more thing to try and if that doesn't work - I have no option but to return it for a refund. Has now been almost 2 weeks and it just won't turn on. Have tried everything through the vodafone help on a 70 minute phone call (turning off power, holding down WPS button while re-powering [this seems to force a software update but the box just goes back to solid red light and won't turn on], using a different HDMI port, trying on a different television) but nothing has worked. Has been extremely frustrating.
No joy tonight and it will be being returned to Noel Leeming tomorrow.
NB: it isn't a Vodafone TV device issue because this is the second box I have got and the same thing happened twice.

Interesting. If its not a VTV issue must be something we have in common with our setup.
I re-pair the rmote and turn the device off and on. That is about the only way to get it going.

I can't get it to turn on at all - it just remains 'off' with red light on the front. Have also tried repairing remote but that doesn't work. And standby button on box has no effect. Grrrr.
