I need to house sit for someone who does have Fibre but no Sky/PayTV.
Am I able to take my VodafoneTV box and plug in to their network to watch my VodafoneTV or do the little boxes only work on the Vodafone network?

Good question Aaron, I suppose if you get access too the login information I see no reason to think it would block you, only one way to find out, if not take some DVD'S.

Hi, I tried this a few weeks ago when I went away for a few days & it didnt work, I'm pretty sure it needs to be on the VF network

As an alternative, I have managed to stream it to my tablet, and then cast that to the TV using screen mirroring.  That was not on the Vodafone network.  Aspect ratio was a little off - set to match the tablet - but the quality was reasonable, good enough to watch the cricket in any case.
