I encountered a problem today where the VF TV set top box wasn't responding to any remote control commands, so I thought the problem was with the box. I power cycled it 3 times and even tried the 3-button reset (which didn't even work btw).
So ring up Vodafone Support and it turns out the problem was the remote had 'lost'connection with the Set top box.
So by pressing the 'STB' button for several seconds, this then 're-gained' the connection to the set top box and it worked again!
What a simple solution, but I never found this solution online anywhere, so I figured I'd post it up here, maybe it will help someone else!
If this info can be put into a central place for Set Top Box communication issues, that would be good.
