After 18 months of failed attempts to resolve my Vodafone box thinking its lost its connection when it hasn't, i.e. i can play recorded tv through it but not live, I finally found a solution after spending several thousand dollars.

By a wifi power plug and use it to power cycle the Vodafone box as that's the only thing that fixes it since they won't fix the bugs in their software.

Cheap fix and set it to cycle at night or on demand.

I know there are lots of people with this bug, so hope it helps.
