Recording not working

hi there I'm having trouble recording any programmes on my Vodafone tv box.

It keeps saying sorry this programme cannot not be recorded.
Why as it was working fine the other day.

Hi @Anitacally - are you getting any errors when trying to record? Any message whatsoever? What have you tried to resolve the issue, i.e.restarting the box, etc?

Join the list Anitacally, this is the way it has been for months now, without being resolved. We 'Vodafone TV' uses have being getting replies from Vodafone that 'we are looking into it'. These messages come up on the screen because Vodafone do not have permission from SKY to record the channel through the new Vodafone TV unit, 'although' I don't see why this 'new way of the future' recording system doesn't as the older Recording box can, except for the channels you are not subscribed too. Vodafone TV is a way of the future but not as we know it, it has been released to the public before all the permissions and updates where ironed out and has got many returning to the older Vodafone box. I am holding on for now but time is running out. Not to many more 'we are looking into it' left now.

so its now November 2019 and still get error message sorry "this programme can not be recorded" on tv one, tv two, tv three, sky 5, basically all the channels. half the time we go to record something it has "sorry this programme can not be recorded"

 

this is like the dumbest, most unfuturistic, thing ever.

 

whats next, turning the colour off and going back to black and white?

 

get it together vodafone????

We cannot record alot of shows, rung Vodafone they will look into it

Well Vodafone we are changing to Sky as your Vodafone box isnt worth **bleep**

Same problem for me.  I have been so disappointed by Vodafone many times,  too many for this reply.  Would have chucked it all in but was persuaded one more time to continue with them as the deal with Sky is good.  Can't believe I can't record a programme on an ordinary channel.  Vodafone need to get the basics right and stop fobbing existing customers off.  Switched to Spark with mobile,  never looked back.  Should have known better.  Won't be sticking round in future.
