I was told by a support person before I bought the box that recordings last for 90 days but this does not appear to be the case and it appears that in some cases the recoding will disappear in 3 days. Is this a bug?

@IvanPiacun Why anyone would want to watch news over 3 days old is beyond me!

MySky is very useful when you go away on holiday and want to catch up on the news when you get back.

The length of time that recordings can be stored depends on the rights that have been negotiated with individual content rights holders. News is particularly difficult as there are many different rights holders in each news segment.
Note that this is because VTV provides cloud recordings, not recording to local hard drive. There is a legal carve out for video recordings which allows people to make personal recordings of broadcasts but this does not apply to cloud based recording.
The benefits of cloud recording include ability to access recordings from multiple devices (not just the one the recording was made on), ability to provide 3-day catch up (auto record everything for 3 days rights permitting) and a much cheaper set top box.
