Cannot Record Newshub Live at 6 pm as of 1 January 2019

As of 1 January I am no longer able to record "Newshub Live at 6 pm" on Vodafone TV. It had worked perfectly well before then.

 

All I get now is "Sorry, this programme cannot be recorded".

 

I contacted MediaWorks (TV3) and they are not aware of any change at their end.

 

Can someone from Vodafone please comment on why this change occurred, and whether we will be able to record this programme again?

This is getting into "straw that breaks the vodafone TV's back" territory. No TV3 news recordings since the start of the year, and the BRAND NEW vodafone TV box can't access netflix interactive content (Black Mirror: Bandersnatch on my TV - nope!).

I can understand not being able to record some things like movies, now and then.  Not being able to record TVNZ stuff is annoying, but their on-demand isn't too bad and frankly I'm only in my 40s so I'm not really old enough to watch TVNZ1 anyhow.  

But not being able to record Newshub, which I have been able to do since I got this limited-features-but-works-mostly-TV-box means I'm now back in the market for a DVR.

Oh, great. Another New Year and exacttly the same problem.  I am unable to record 3 News as of 1 January 2020.  "Sorry, due to partner restrictions this programme can not be recorded."  Whatever fix was done a year ago needs to be done again.

This is due to a new season and new season number being issued by Mediaworks. Please reset your series recording to one of these new episodes.

I work in Media Operations.

Thanks for your reply.

 

I tried doing that, but unfortunately I still cannot set up a recording.  There is no (R) on that programme, and as shown it is still restricted.

I got a VTV box just after Xmas and it recorded Newshub fine for a few days until 1-1-20. 

 

There's no option to rewind or record.

 

Grateful for any help with this.

Yes it has happened again.

 

If you scroll down through the geekzone thread at https://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=40&topicid=254293&page_no=80 where I also reported this problem, and where, oddly enough, Vodafone staff engage much more than on their own forum, a Vodafone staff member acknowledged there is a problem and says an internal ticket has been raised to fix it.

I am having same problem with my vf TV.
Can I just ask are you just waiting on Vodafone staff to get back at you that problem is now fixed..? Or should I keep trying to contact them as I have had no luck on what I am meant to do..?
