Turned off Wifi and powered off waited 30 secs powered on.  Now have 3g.   Network Cell Info showing HSUPA (UMTS)  MCC530  MNC 1 LAC 2110  UCID 62918474 PSC 4 RNC 960 CID 3914

Test call didn't seem to go thru SS though.

Correct the test call you made was on Russell/Paihia U900. I can see you have managed to attach to the sure signal briefly though.

CID 3914 does not exist in my records. The SAC / CID we see when something is on SureSignal on our end at least is 40000.

The call you made was on SAC / CID 57949.

Last activity on your SIM was a successful Location Update on the Sure Signal @ 2246, can you try make another test call now.

Made two calls.  The first was to the iPhone and it showed on the SS but may have been because the iPhone was on it.   But the second one to the home number also showed on the SS.

Have traced and can confirm both calls at 2319 & 2320 to the mobile and landline were successfully made via the SureSignal Smiley Happy. Looks like the fault with your handset is resolved now.

Yes.   I just put the S8 back to 4g and then called it from my landline and the call came through on the SS and the phone seems to have stayed on the SS after the call.   So the incoming call switched it from LSE to HSUPA and it has stayed there.

I'll keep an eye on what it does now that I know what it should be able to do.

Ok, over night it stayed on HSUPA but in the morning after going out of SureSignal range it switched back to it's old no 3g state and missed calls.  I've restarted it which brought it back and set it permanently 3g (no auto switching).  I'll see if that works.
