sim card not working in 2G network

i got a vodafone sim card,that is 4g card, I have try put in a 2G phone ,is not woking ,so do i need go to the vodafone shop change a 2G sim card?

@cashmac there was a few batches of SIM’s issued a couple years ago which were unable to attach to 2G network only 3G/4G.

If yours is one of those impacted SIM’s yes you will need to go to a Vodafone store and have it swapped out.

so you mean i can go to any vodafone store to swap a new one. The new one can working in 2G network? my vodafone number is prepay ,is it can swap new sim card?

I especially swapped to one of these special release SIMs to stop my phone going rogue onto 2G Smiley Happy
