Good afternoon all,  I am try to do the above via the self service portal.  It give me a 10 digit number to enter via my remote, but doesn't explain where in the settings for the box I need to enter this.  I have had a look but no where obvious shows up.

Page I'm trying to do this is:

https://tv.vodafone.co.nz/tv-services

Anyone able to assist me and tell me where in the settings I can enter the activation code?

Thanks for the reply.  The video assumes you are setting up the box from scratch, this has already been done by the install tech.  I need to activate after the fact so to speak Smiley Happy

The only time you'll need to enter this code is during first time set up.

Hi, Thanks for the reply, but as I said the install (Downer) tech did all that, I just now need to link the device with the new account I have set up on the self service portal.  So from your answer I take it that to register my tv box is now impossible as its already been setup for me?  How do I link it then?

The one Downer would have installed would be a Gen 1 box, the ones that go on the self service portal are Gen 2 and you can not link a gen 1 to the self service portal

How do I tell which it is?  Looks the same as the pic on the website.

Gen 1 has hardware version 80 or 81 on the bottom of the STB

Gen 2 has hardware version 512, Gen 2 is also a little bit smaller.
