Mobile Data missing

At 3am my data usage showed 7907.78MB used on the 13th. I had been streaming netflix at a rate of 0.3mb per 1 hour, watching 10, 40 minute episodes yesterday. Which does not add up to almost 8mb. 

I was hot spotting my laptop but the only thing open was my browser contating uni journal articles and the netflix show, as well as some word documents that had been minimised. No apps that could have been updating, no one has access to my hotspot. 

Currently my usage is now showing that I used 10,99490MB used yesterday and 7,187.80MB used today, when ive only been awake until 3am (where the 7907 showed as usage) and been awake for 30 mins not using my data.

What could be causing this incorrect data usage. It has left me with 4gb of data for a month.

 

Im a uni student who is Living in a flat without unlimited internet. So i need my data to balance the usage. I am confused as to how so much of my data has gone missing, with 30 days of my plan still left. I have called and all i was told was that its a accurate system. 

so at 3am this moning, it showed the first screenshot, along with the 3rd saying i had 4gb of data left. When i had woke up the  2nd screen shot was shown. Somehow while my phone had no one connected to the data and i was asleep, another 3gb was added to yesterday and 7gb was added to today.
