Hi thanks for that, have done that but still keep having issues.
For some reson it seems to mess with the wifi of the primary ultrahub so end up with intermittent wifi on both systems. Have set up using different SSID's, DHCP turned off on second hub and wired LAN to LAN (via a switch as original cable too short).
Any ideas how to resolve...or is there a different WAP solution that you can reccomend?
the 2 ultrahub solution is not ideal as they are not really designed to be an access point only. Different SSIDs may work better but then you need to toggle your end device between the two
There are a couple of ways to may it work well
1) Cheaper way is to buy an extender (one with an ethernet plug on it so you can wire it back to the modem is much for much better performance). I've used the netgear and tp-link for this fine. They tend to run a seperate SSID though, so you need to toggle still
2) More expensive is a mesh system where you have 2 or more access points included. One is next to the modem (and modem wifi turned off) and the other/s elsewhere aroud the house. These all share the same ssid so as you move around the house the system moves you to the nearest access point automatically.
Im currently using a TP-Link Deco 3 pod Mesh and it works perfectly everywhere in and even outside the house.
