I've posted this about a year ago and only just saw the update to the firmware recently. The issue still hasn't been resolved. There still hasn't been a port number assigned to the printer and I can't seem to add it to the router. Searching \\192.168.1.1\ and \\Vodafone\ in file explorer does nothing.
The bottom line is that is there an assigned port on the router for the printer now? On the old HG659 all I had to do was assign the printer to http://192.168.1.1:631/MFC-7340 and everything was perfect.
It's been an entire year and I've been having to transfer files by USB to a crappy old laptop and physically move to the modem to get it hooked up to the printer in order to print a page which absolutely sucks.
Please advise on what to do.

Why can't I even edit my own posts
Just ran nmap and the results are as follows:
Is there a way to change port 631 to open?

Can anyone also confirm whether the device URI's fit one of the following formats?
http://ip-address-or-hostname:631/printers/name/.printer http://ip-address-or-hostname/printers/name http://ip-address-or-hostname/name http://ip-address-or-hostname:631/name
This is doing my head in
