TVs not responding to WPS search with new Ultra Hub modems

We have just upgraded to VodafoneTV and been given an Ultra Hub modem. We are not on the new fast fibre network.

 

Previously the upstairs and the bedroom TVs were both able to connect to the network. Now when performing a WPS network search (and holding the WPS button down for at least 2secs) the TVs are not finding the new Ultra Hub modem.

 

I did not install the WiFi extenders because my understanding is that these are only for the ultra fast fibre network. According to the instructions, you have to hardwire the extenders to each other when you are not on the ultra fast fibre. Plus we did not need any extenders with the previous set up.

 

Does the Ultra Hub have a lesser range?

 

Does the WPS button on the Ultra Hub actually work?

 

Does anyone know what the trick is?

Still an issue?

 

Did you activate WPS on the Ultra Hub?

  1. Log into your Ultra Hub via a web browser to 192.168.1.1
  2. Switch to Advanced Mode, using the drop down menu in the top right corner of the screen
  3. Under the Wi-Fi menu, select WPS
  4. Click the Pair button
  5. On your printer, switch on WPS
  6. Your device should sync with the Ultra Hub

Wi-Fi Extenders can be used with any service.

The Ultra Hub has an excellent Wi-Fi and Beam Forming to focus connectivity.

Thx MikeHales for responding. Have resolved the issue.

There was an option to manually configure the WiFi without using WPS and it worked.

So all good now.
