Hello there, I am just wondering how I can change the DNS servers on my Vodafone Ultra Hub. I would like to change them, but I can't find a setting, even in advanced mode. I looked through every nook and cranny of the Ultra Hub's advanced interface, to no avail. Please help me. Thanks.

Hi @xTobyPlayZ - sorry, I haven't really played with the Ultra Hub much, but I'm sure you should be able to change the settings somehow. In Advanced mode, if you toggle the swicth for 'Secure DNS' does it allow you to change the settings then?

Enable Advanced Mode.
Go to Settings / LAN
Enter new IP address in Local DNS Server.
For example OpenDNS: 208.67.222.22.
Switch off DNS Proxy
Save settings.
Restart router
A bit convoluted compared with other routers but it works for me.

I found another solution for configuring your own DNS servers that solves the constraints of Ultra Hub router.
The solution requires some technical skills.
Setup a DNS server on your LAN, for example Technitium DNS server.
Set Ultra Hub Local DNS Server to IP address of LAN DNS server.
Now you can configure Zones, Scopes and DNS forwarders on your LAN DNS server.
Now you can setup your own host names and forward to any number of DNS servers , for example OpenDNS , Google and Cloudflare.

Best way to break the internet is change DNS settings
Which is why you want to use a non-ISP DNS service
