Chromecast issues

I have just switched to fibre and cannot get my Chromecast to connect to the Ultra Hub Modem.  This modem limits what settings you can adjust.  Has anybody any ideas?  TIA Tony

Thanks for the post. Are you using a whitelist to limit access to wifi? I’ve connected mine to 5GHz channel, otherwise double check password etc.

I had this issue, because it was trying to connect to 5GHz whereas the original Chromecasts are only able to connect to 2.4Ghz. Make sure both your networks (2.4Ghz and 5Ghz) are called the same and have the same password...then it will work hopefully. Or at least it did for me.


Obviously, this is only relevant if you have a 1st generation Chromecast device, as I believe gen 2 is able to connect to 5GHz.
