I can log in to the admin screen on my Vodafone router using 126.96.36.199, but cannot do the same for my Vodafone technicolor TC4400 cable modem using the standard IP address 192.168.0.1 to get to the web admin screen.
The TC4400 modem is used to the Vodafone cable network (which used to be the Paradise cable network). The Vodafone Ultra-hub router-modem is hooked up to this TC4400 modem. It all works OK, but I'm trying to see why the second port on the TC4400 cannot be used to hook up another laptop I have, and also to see if this modem has a feature to go to sleep at a set time frame overnight.
Thanks for the quick reply! No doubt, you are right but interesting that online manuals for the modem show that you can connect and administer it this way. My guess is that it has been locked down to act as a pass-thru cable modem? Which may also be the reason why I can't use the 2nd ethernet port for Internet access?
