Heading to NZ for 3 weeks and need to have easy internet access for my work computer.
Was planning to purchase a "Gold Travel" SIM (for my phone) as described here:
https://www.vodafone.co.nz/travel-sim/
However, noticed this comment in the fine print:
"... No tethering or hotspots..."
A bit confused by that. Surely I'd be allowed to use my phone as a hotspot for personal use right?
Cheers

That comment is referring to the included Social / Chat pass, and links off to Vodafone Pass' T's&C's
https://www.vodafone.co.nz/pass/#pass-terms
"Enjoying content through tethering or using your device as a hotspot is not included, standard data charges/use of your monthly data allowance will apply."
But to answer your question, yes, you can use tethering / hotspot, but the data used comes out of your main data allowance, not the unlimited data packages of the social / chat pass.
Hope this helps!
Best Regards,
Sebastian
