Why are we getting multiple charges on prepay text messages, in some cases up to 5 charges for one text message!

Cause a SMS is 160 characters max so if you send an SMS 300 characters that is 2 SMS and when you start adding emojis to them they use more characters again

Hi John

Thanks for the info, we weren't aware of this.  Will keep messages very short and emoji free and monitor this closely just to make sure.

Cheers

I have been charged for a PXT.    Interesting thing is that the text is 79 Characters, NO imoji, NO pictures.

I still have the text on my phone ......      Vodafone have NOT got back to me regarding this stuff up.    I was told that Vodafone charged me for a PXT because it was a PXT.   Vodafone can't prove that I did not send a PXT   but I can.

@Idiom37  If you have been charged for a MMS / PXT then the handset has sent one, The SMSR and MMSC are 2 different platforms in VodafoneNZ,

You can just add text characters to a MMS and send one that you think is a SMS
