Do I need to make any Settings changes on my iPhoneX to gain access to Vodafone's 4G Extended network? There are no options to select 4G LTE on my iPhoneX, even though my phone does support this (700MHz). Or do Vodafone need to grant me access first?

4G Extended is just LTE on the L700 Band. If you already have access to LTE (IE you can use LTE in other areas fine) then you don't need to do anything else. Your phone will be able to use L700 in an area where it is deployed..

Sorry for long delay in responding. but this is still a major issue for me.
How do I prove that LTE is kicking in automatically? It doesn't say LTE in Settings > Mobile Data > Mobile Data Options > Voice & Data, just 4G (which is checked).
If I have LTE coverage in my area and all over my house in the Network Coverage map, then I should be getting reasonable reception in my house. But I am not getting any good coverage - usually one bar or no bar. In fact it is so bad I am considering moving to Spark (my brother is on Spark and he has no issues with reception in my house).
Further advice appreciated.

LTE = 4G Same thing

Moot point now. Thanks for trying to respond productively.
4G has disappeared altogether and I only get one bar on 3G. This is on a genuine NZ-supplied iPhone X too. And wife's iPhone X is the same, so not a lemon phone.

Coverage map does not reflect indoor coverage.
How is the coverage outside of your house..?

Outside my house and also at street level, last night after work I was getting between 1 and 3 bars of 3G. I will check again tomorrow during the day and advise.

Between 1 & 3 bars of 3G during daytime too. 4G has all but disappeared. It popped up for about 1 second before settling on 3G.
