Since moving back to NZ and using my NZ sim card, I have received at least 100 texts a day from Vodafone saying 'Sorry u don't have enough credit to send a txt message...' even though my phone is all topped up and is on a prepaid plan? My plan works otherwise. Could you please help? It's getting very frustrating.
Chances are you have an iPhone? If so it will be trying to activate iMessage/Facetime which is does by sending an 'invisible' SMS to a UK number. So options might be to add a $1 or so to allow enough cents for a single international txt message to be sent; or turn off these services in your phone settings until a later point when you might want to use them.
Yes! I'm on an iphone. Happy to put $1 on, but I think Vodafone only does increments of $20... do you know how to turn off the services you mention? I've turned the notifications off Vodafone at least, so it doesn't buzz every two minutes
