My father in law's phone is not working and I am not authorised on his account to check that is a fault or disconnected. we do not live in the same town. he is 83 lives alone with limited support. I am concerned and your operator was no help at all do I go to another provider and close his account?

Hi there,
Due to privacy reasons, we are unable to discuss someone elses account with an unauthorised person.
Is it possible you or someone closer to his location could call in while you're with him so he can go through security questions, and authorise you to be able to discuss this?
