since switching to broadband calling, all other phones in house stopped working

my parents have been nagging me to deal with this for ages so here i am. we were sent an adapter to plug our landline into our modem, and were given instructions to plug it in in a couple weeks. so we did that, however in our house we have multiple phones, 2 of which are at the opposite end of the house from the modem. since the switch... surprise surprise, they stopped working. our main phone works fine and that is wireless so we are fine IMO but my dad keeps telling me to fix this.

Is there some sort of adapter we can plug straight into the phone line plug in the wall that enables us to use these phones?

or is there some sort of device that extends these ports from our modem?

my mum suggested if we could switch back to the old way of calling since they don't use the new features anyway?

or is there some other solution that im not creative enough to come up with?

thanks,

-ion
