Technical Support or lack there of

Ok So I have issues with routing and dropped packets.  Go onto vodafone website and click talk live to a Technical Support Ninja.

Connected to billing.

 

Ask for technical support e-mail as I have no service downstairs where I live.

OH NO, we cant give out that information.  What is this, the FBI??

 

All I want is to be able to send someone a tracert result and ask them to look into it, not asking for any national security secrets for godness sake.

I dont want to talk to first tier support as in my previous experience, they dont know what they are doing

HI. vodafone.co.nz doesn't respond to pings. That is why it goes to 30 plus hops

This is an IP address that I have been using for years to get continual tracert results and I have never had any unresponsive nodes.

 

I am getting server drops, lags in youtube vids.  I am on Max Speeds.

Ok can you tell me exactly what your issue is. Is it youtube buffering ?. You have given traceroutes to 3 different ip address and still it is not clear what it is we are trying to solve. bbc-vip146.telhc.bbc.co.uk is hosted by the bbc hence your going to the otherside of the worold when testing to that, As for the unresponsive  nodes that is only in VFNZ controll if the node is ours. It's a common practice for interfaces not to respond to a ping. Not sure what is meant by server drops sorry.

Ethernet. I have been having latency issues got some time. This is why I have been monitoring closely. I have YouTube videos buffering. Game disconnects from stvers hosted in Australia. I appreciate that BBC Com is hosted outside NZ but I have never had an unresponsive nose, especially so close to home.

This unresponsive node thing you talk about is nothing to worry about at all  What is the server in Aussie you are having issues with as it might be 2 that we monitor
