Is there a problem with RBI in this area ?
The Waiatarua Hub is listed as the first stage of a Mobile Network upgrade starting today - don't know if this is having side effects on RBI, but most of today today has been an ongoing series of lost RBI connections and modem re-starts. Probably worst ever day service I have had on RBI.
Any ideas Vodafone ?

Hi @HJV
Yes, RBI connections run over the Mobile Network, so planned work causing outages on the serving cell site in your area, will also cause outages to your RBI service.

Ok thanks for response Sebastian
Work appears to be scheduled from 12th-14th.
Is there anywhere that users can get confirmation that it is completed on time and service back to normal ?
It's virtually uselss at the moment (eg 2 dropouts in the last 10 minutes !)
Thanks

No unfortunately not but you can expect a partial or complete loss of voice / data services between 7am and 8pm on the dates listed.

Upside 4G antennaes being installed. So should be getting 4G on L700 in near future - maybe a week or two for optimisation to be done and for them to go live based on experience.

@HJVI just checked and the cell site is up and running with no issues at this moment.
If it's still an ongoing issue for you, I would suggest you call and get a fault logged to investigate. It's possible there were some issues introduced during upgrade.

@HJVJust checked the history for today and there have been guys on site continuing work on the upgrade today. Including some outage causing / service impacting work. Today should be the last day of any service impacting work being conducted.

Thanks for update. Yes RBI connection does now appaer to be stable - although speed is very slow at 1.5mbps, hopefully this wiil improve?
Got more info on this by phone from support team today. Surprised that they did not seem to have easy access to current status of this scheduled work, and fact that technicians were taking longer to complete than the dates posted on this forum (here https://community.vodafone.co.nz/t5/Services-status/Planned-mobile-network-upgrades-12-18-October-20...). They had to check this in response to my phone call.
Surely if you post a schedule, you can update it when there are changes. (like airlines do with flight delays and cancellations ?)
Also feel there must be a better way that customers can be advised in advance of scheduled work that has this kind of impact

The approved change request for the site always had yesterday (15/10) listed in the work schedule.
Not sure why the post on the community says 14/10 but I am guessing the final day of the service impacting portion was not included in the "Planned Work" post on here as 15/10 was listed down as "Back up day required to complete the work in the case of any unforeseen weather delays. "
Cheers

Sebastian
