I had IPv6 on my VDSL connection, but not since upgrading to fibre.
Is there a rollout plan for IPv6 via Enable fibre in Christchurch?

I'm also in Christchurch and tried to get IPv6 working with no luck. Using a MikroTik RB750gr3 with DHCPv6 PD client running on VLAN10.
I didn't test the HG659 at the time so can't rule out user error here.
Seems strange that Enable would be the reason for no IPv6 prefixes being issued. Vodafone may have opted to not enable IPV6 on the Christchruch 'B-RAS' equipment issuing IP addresses for some reason?

Initially I had the HG659 on VDSL with IPV6 working. No changes were made to its configuration moving from VDSL to fibre. It just worked except that the IPV6 service stopped working.
I spoke to a Ninja about a VOIP-related problem, and mentioned IPV6, and he told me it hadn't been rolled out via Enable fibre (yet?) That was in June.
I am now trying to find out if there is a rollout plan, or if anything at all is happening. I have written to Vodafone to try to get an answer, which I will post here if it is forthcoming.

IPv6 would be very nice to have for my IoT & Docker projects I'm running. Look forward to hearing what they say.

I got this useless response from Vodafone in September. I am not sure what the reference to Chorus has got to do with it. The implication seems to be that I got IPV6 before as a fringe benefit from Chorus as they provided the copper over which the VDSL connection was made. At the time Vodafone were quite forthcoming about only providing a dynamic IPV6 address as a policy decision, after I requested a static one. This seems to mean they admitted providing the service, if limited. Now they are saying it was nothing to do with them at all. What do they mean? Grrr!

I queried this with our Technical Support and they have advised the following:
As a provider, we do not assign IPv6. However, on the Chorus network, sometimes you will receive an IPv6 address or the status as connection, but since your connection has been moved over to the Enable Fibre Network, this will not be possible.
This will not affect the performance of your current connection. The reason for the introduction of IPv6 connections are because it will give us the ability to get more IP addresses. This is not widely used and still not used in NZ as if yet.

Another 3 months gone by and no sensible response from Vodafone about IPV6 over Enable fibre in Christchurch. Obviously it's not life-threatening, but aren't they supposed to be the bees' knees on the technological front? The irritation is that it worked on VDSL but not on fibre. Don't they just need to fit a new box somewhere? Why do they just ignore me?
Does anyone from Vodafone look here? If so, what's the answer? If not, why not? Don't you monitor what your customers are saying?
