I have looked at the Ultra hub settings and there are no settings to block URL's.
For the lastest modem I thought there would have been some awesome features, like an app to control the modem.
Slingshot had the ability to turn on a Parental filter, something that blocked content before it even made it to the modem, has Vodafone go something similar?

Did you find out how to do this? I would also like to be able to set some parental controls

There are parental controls available but they focus on limiting access to certain times for certain devices. To block types of websites, there are 3rd party filters available for devices etc and you'll need to enter each domain name/url. We certainly work with other providers and government to block the more malicious things online but leave the day to day control etc to yourselves as users.
I'm sure there are other community members who could advise on filters etc better than me.

Thanks Mike,
Problem is, even though the Ultra Hub (running latest Firmware 2-4-9) has ‘Parental Controls’ to set time limits on specific devices, it doesn’t work (well for me at least, and from what I understand, some others...)
When you’ve set one (or more) parental control up and click ‘Apply’ it simply says ‘Your settings have not been updated’ (time and time again).Tried rebooting the Ultra Hub, and just doing one real simple one, re-writing the times but still no joy. Thinking I might call the Ninjas, and if they can’t help, ask for a new version Hub/Router with a parental control feature that works.
It’s a real shame you can’t block URLs/websites (eg: porn like the initial thread was after) through the Ultra Hub. Open DNS is good but trying to set up their addresses in the Ultra Hub is quite difficult. (Not nearly easy as it is in an off-the-shelf router from an electronics shop.)
Wish Vodafone would sort their tech out, or at the very least ‘test’ all their own kit properly from time to time (including all the features) and provide firmware updates to fix known/identified issues.

Yep, Ive tried to use the time allocation function also, and find the router will not hold the settings. Yes very disappointed with the lack of parental controls and functionallity. I thought vodfone would have been all over this considering they are an international brand.
Lets hope the new owners can sort this out otherwise ill be moving as soon as my contract is up.
I hear that you can use Vodafone TV with any ISP, not sure if that is in place now or something thats coming soon.
Spark here I come... you can hav my $229 a month or $2748 $ a year, or $27480 10 years.

RE: Time allocation issue, for setting parental controls I found this issue on my device also. Workaround I found that works, is not setting rules that go into the next day.
EG, if you are wanting to block a devices access from 8PM to 7AM the next day, set two seperate rules:
1) 20:00 to 23:59
2) 00:01 to 07:00
This has worked for me.
Cheers
