Hourly disconnects

Hi

 

7 minutes past the hour my internet disconnects and automatically logs back on (but takes the usual 2 minutes to do so)

 

I have looked at all the places I know of for why this could be scheduled at my end but I have had no luck

 

Does anyone have an idea?

Hi - no surprises there! I would look at resetting ur modem and/or disconnect the power and leave for 30secs then switch back on.

Im not sure how you can say that with such certainty John because that is how I resolved the exact same issue i had.

Thanks for your suggestions, unfortunately, its not an issue with the alarm.

i have been reading about DHCP Leasing and when they get renewed, but that renews every 24 hours, therefore thats not my problem.

Oh well, no online gaming in this household

My modem is the dark gray ultra hub

 

I have checked and the firmware is up to date.

 

Until 3 weeks ago I had zero issues with it

Do you have a house alarm? How can you say it's not an issue with the house alarm?

These type of faults are never network related. If you're rural, it could be electric fences or if you're non-rural, it is most certainly going to be be your home alarm or any other other device that plugs into your internal wiring.
