Perfect thank you. That's just what I was after.
Looking at the stats, the speeds you are getting (via wifi) are relatively similar to your sync speeds. Meaning I don't believe this is a wifi issue here.
Looking at your attentuation stats, I would expect the sync rates to be a little higher.
How long have you had this connection? Has your speeds always been like this?
Do you have multiple jackpoints around the house or do you have a master splitter installed with dedicated VDSL outlet?

Thanks for the reply.
Connection abiout 1.5 years old. Was always slow. Seems to have become much slower sometime in the last 6 months. particularly upload.
Have a phone/router splitter, but with no phone attached. To be honest I am not exactly sure what a "master splitter" is.
The house has perhaps 2 other old phone jacks with no phone attached and in unkowen condition (they were replaced with wall plates over a year ago)

Your connection might benefit from having a master splitter installed by an electrician.
As it's always been an issue for you I'm not sure whether this is really considered a fault..
Is fibre available in your area?

Fiber is not available.
It has not always been an issue. Upload speeds have become incredibly bad.
I still do not know what a "Master Splitter" is, and why I need an electrician. Could you please help with that info.

Take a read of this post. Explains internal wiring impact on xDSL connections very well. Bit of a read but worth it and will explain the purpose of a Master Splitter to you.

With respect, there is no way I am reading that complicated web page. I am a simple customer. I want my internet to work at an acceptable speed. It does not. I would like it chec ked and if possible, fixed. How do I get it fixed? That link is not useful at all for the average customer like me.
Fraser - thank you for your offer, but I am no9tg in those areas.

If you are Auckland, Waikato or BoP area, I can check your broadband wiring and install a master splitter. I've installed many of these and in most cases will make a difference and sometimes the improvement can be significant. Flick me a message if interested.

Following from my last post, could you please tell me what a Master Splitter is, how do I get one, and why/if I need an electritian to get my internet working at acceptable speeds.
