I have set up a gmail to replace my @es.co.nz email (which I have had for 21 years)
Within the gmail setup using imap I have been able to get it to download mail from my @es.co.nz
This means at the moment the forwarding option is not necessary and works well. I assume if I set up forwarding I would get the message twice. What about after 30th November will this still work or will forwarding option need to be set up to receive any messages after this?

Thanks for your post, yes you will need forwarding after 30 November as the auto download will cease and forwarding will replace it.
