Installer told me the one with a 5 was the better one, should I not use it at all?

5Ghz is better if you are close to the access point 2.4Ghz provides a stronger / better coverage footprint

The issue has not resolved. I even chose a specific channel for my WiFi and it’s off this morning.
this is getting annoying and I will investigate whether we can get out of Vodafone.
its faster than the mobile broadband I had, but that never faulted.

further disconnections prompted me to call Vodafone. Impatiently waited for my call to be answered, and eventually found out that my system needed an update.
apparently I should have no more issues.
the person I spoke to though is the friendliest I have come across in a long time.
