Does anyone know about blacklisting? About people on XTRA not being able to send messages to domains on VODAFONE? Senders on XTRAhave trheir messages bounced due SORBS. Why?
My daughter cannot send me messages. The error message (in part) is thus:-
-- -- Quote -- --
Remote-MTA: dns; mx.paradise.net.nz
Diagnostic-Code: smtp; 554 5.7.1 DNS Blacklisted by dnsbl-1.uceprotect.net
-- -- Unquote -- --
Vodafone blames Xtra, Xtra blames Vodafone, and still my contacts on XTRA cannot SEND messages to me.

Thanks for your post and apologies for the hassle.
I've checked into it and Spark have an issue with their email servers that needs to be resolved to remove the Blacklisting. There's nothing we can do from our side, sorry.

Hi,
We are also suffering from this problem. We are missing quite a few emails from Xtra users while all other users can reach the clearnet address (redirected) no problems.
Any update on when Xtra might fix this blacklisting issue? It is causing real emabrrassment for us and some business issues for contacts who still haven't updated their contact information for us (and shouldn't nered to to given the redirect in place) It kind of defeats the pupose of the redirect when some 30% of email users in NZ can't sent email to it!
Thanks

I suspect there will not be anything done.
There is no one in either company who knows what we are talking about.
They wave SORBS about like a flag but they do not see the pattern on the flag.
My emails have been re-directed for over 10 years, (Hosted Personal domain) and just now their own platform (VODAFONE).(paradise.net.nz) has put a blacklist on XTRA platform. That is the only method by which customers on XTRA cannot send messages to VODAFONE customers because VODAFONE have a " do not send me stuff" ban on XTRA.
Afterall, why have they allready said their systems are in disarray, old and broken? - and stopped being a MX?
They keep advertising for more customers but where can we go?
If I have this wrong, I am prepared to accept a fix to the problem.

The BLACKLISTING of my e-mail contacts on XTRA is now lifted. Since 8th March.
After 4 months, my contacts on XTRA can now send me e-mail messages.
It has taken a while. Thank you. Barry P.
