my wife has a basic samsumg phone it is locked we are off to canada for a holiday,we want to unlock the phone. we spoke with Vodafone and they said take out Vodafone sim and replace it with a nz non Vodafone sim. we dont have a non Vodafone sim. how do we get it unlocked

Just a get a local SIM when you arrive, sounds like the phone is unlocked so you just need a SIM.

What plan is the Vodafone SIM on? Might work out better to get roaming enabled for that phone.
