Texts from Vodafone

by Leonz Starter Poster
Message 1 of 7 (1,093 Views)
I keep getting multiple texts every hour from Vodafone saying I don't have enough credit to send a text message. I have unlimited texts on my 19 prepay plan, and I can send and receive texts normally, but I keep getting these texts sent to me. I'm not even sure what it's trying to send! There's nothing in my messages saying it failed to send. And I have unlimited texts anyway. How can I find out and stop these texts?

Hi @Leonz ,

If your'e using an iPhone it could be your phone trying to activate iMessage. It needs to send a text to the apple servers in the UK which would of course fail if you have less than .20c credit.

Another thing it could be is a premium text service trying to send you a chargable message. Some sort of quiz or game.

Ok thanks, have topped up using an Iou to see if that connects to the apple servers, otherwise I'll delete some apps and see what happens! Thanks Smiley Happy

Must have been iMessage sending to the apple servers, because the texts have stopped now! Thank you!
