I have an iphone app that controls our gas fireplace remotely. The fire is connected to our router via ethernet and is visible on my phone if I am connected via WIFI. When I connect via mobile data, the fireplace is no longer available.
This app was working before we changed to the Vodafone Router and Vodafone Mobile Network.
The fireplace app provider believes it is a router problem.
I have checked on the Vodafone Hme Gateway page HG659 and the fire is visible there.
Sounds like ports need to be opened/forwarded in the router so you're able to access the fire place externally. You would need get in contact with Escea to find out what the port numbers the fire place uses, to find out how to do port forwarding click here.
