Just wondering if Vodafone NZ is ranging Lumia 640 or Lumia 640 XL or both? Thanks.

Hi @NikT

Hope when Lumia 640 is listed on Vodafone NZ website it'll be under Microsoft instead of Nokia.

Cheers

It sure will be - we have been closely adhering to Microsoft's brand transition guidelines for some time now. Smiley Happy

How soon before we'll be able to preorder?

Having to replace my existing (dropped once to many times) Lumia and wondering if it's worth waiting for the 640(XL).

Hi @GNZ ,

The Lumia 640 will be available from mid-April. We will not be ranging the Lumia 640XL. As this is primarily a business-focused device, there will not be a preorder, but there will be a 12 month subscription to Office 365 personal included.

Thanks,

Thanks Nik,

So even though vodafone won't be selling the 640XL, looking at the specs the 640 supports band 3 and therefore can be vodafone 4G? But the 640XL doesn't support band 3 and therefore would be 3G only on vodafone?

Might want to double-check which variant's specs you're looking at - the international 4G variant of the 640XL supports both band 3/1800MHz & band 7/2600MHz. No band 28 in either 640 or 640XL as a little too early for that in global devices. Smiley Happy

It shouldn't go north of $299 and need to watch Noelleemings (Vodafone stockists) during ANZAC weekend.
