When downloading large (3-6GB) ZIP files, the download breaks every time, usually at the 2.0 or 4.0GB point. I then make it resume from there, and that is successful. I have tried two computers and two browsers.
The same files download OK at home.
So it is one of a Chorus - Vodafone - modem - ethernet switch problem.
I could probably try a WiFi dongle to bypass the switch, to rule that out.
Does anyone else regularly download such large files on Vodafone fibre successfully?

shold be fine. It mighr be the site you are downloading from ? Have you tried a similar size file from another site to see. Does the internet drop too when the file stops (cant browse etc?). If not then its probably the site you are downloading from

Is the first connection at a workplace? What software are you using? Some HTTP implementations have a limit of 2 GB per request, can be part of a firewall or older client version. Other considerations include file system etc..

A 4.46GB Windows 10 ISO file downloaded without interruption.
This implies that there is something wrong with the host that I'm having problems with. But I downloaded twice at home from this host without interruption.
Strange. I might just have to live with it.
