2g sim

Hi,
I have a remote site which has an sms controller and a yagi antenna to increase coverage. Spark is a no go, and I'd like to use the 2g Vodafone network. Do I need a specific 2g sim, or will a 3G / 4g card use the 2g network if necessary?

Many thanks,

Dan

Hi @Dannybuoy,

Our SIMS support 2G, 3G and 4G. No need for a specific SIM

thanks

So even though it says 3G / 4g only, it should pick up 2g if that's all that is available? That would be great! Thanks

@Dannybuoy

As long as the SIM card number doesn't start with the following:

  • 64011510...
  • 64011511...
  • 64011512...
  • 64011601...
  • 64011602...

You will be fine, if you just recently purchased it, it should start with a higher number than the above which works fine on 2G.
