Thinking of replacing my Sky boxes with the Standard + Promo

I just got fibre installed last week (less than 26 hours after I made the call to Vodafone to get it installed I was up and going, but that is another story)

 

So that comes with 2 VodafoneTV boxes.

You could be watching on one TV but the second Box will count as a cocurrent connection meaning you could not also watch another stream on another device.

Is this correct?

It doesnt seem like it from the promo material I have seen.

It would be nice to watch something different on each setbox and then something different on a tablet/appletv

 

Secondly is the recordings, held in Vodafone Cloud meaning I could record on one device and watch on another?

 

Finally are the channels locked to Sky? Or will you be adding some other channels in time (that are not available on SkyTV)

Hmm so looking at the guide while in catch up is troublesome, (not just catchup same issues appear live)
Can't enlarge synopsis of a program currently on but can if program hasn't been on yet or has been on
Similarly pressing record on a program on in the future cycles "rec series" --> "rec canceled" --> 'one off record' --> rec canceled that's intuitive enough but if program is on now it skips the one off record option so can only record whole series ,,,

Next question, is it possible to rearrange the app menu so tvnz is first,, my TV already handles Netflix fine and the tvnz app is so clunky to access the way it is,,

I have asked a few vodafone sales people the same question about how many streams can be watched at one time nd I have got several responses

Are you saying, if we got the two VTV box deal we cannot watch separate shows on separate boxes at the same time?
We have been waiting to get them installed for about two months now as we were given two boxes without wifi extenders and two ethernet cords that are about a meter long ( must be plugged into the modem to work so completely pointless if the modem is not next to your TV). Been very painful to deal with, getting mixed information consistently.

With 2 boxes you can watch different content at the same time.

 

Both boxes installed easily and full access to all services from both.

 

Lots of other issues that need to be resolved but hardware stability is not 1 of them.
