On the new VTV menu there is a Watchlist. How do I bookmark programmes to this watchlist?

Quick update

Recording is now available on selected news and current affairs on TVNZ One but please note this content is only retained for 60 days, unlike all other recording content which is available for 365 days.

Selected programmes that can now be recorded are:

  • Breakfast
  • 1 News at Midday
  • 1 News at 6pm
  • Seven Sharp
  • 1 New Tonight
  • Hyundai Country Calendar
  • Fair Go
  • Te Karere

Thanks Mike.

At least that's a bit better than the pultry 7 days to view for BBC shows like Click that I've set for up series record.

Now if we could only delete the oprhaned shows that still appear on the My TV watchlist.

Additionally, while there is a progress bar in the recording box with show details, and a synopsis of the show, indicating where one has got to in terms of viewing a show if one has to stop watching and subsequently returned to watch, there are no indications (icons) to identify which shows are the new recording and which are watched.

An example is that if one has set up series recording for BBC Click and that the show is boradcasted by BBC at least 3 times in a 24 hours period and one has a few days of shows showing, some watched and some awaiting to be viewed, it would be faster to identify by Icon which is new and which is viewed; considering there are orphaned shows still on the watchlist.

So, are there any plans to improve those recordings, features and options?

Yes, I am aware that there are dates and times in the recording details.

Thinking of replacing my Sky boxes with the Standard + Promo

I just got fibre installed last week (less than 26 hours after I made the call to Vodafone to get it installed I was up and going, but that is another story)

So that comes with 2 VodafoneTV boxes.

You could be watching on one TV but the second Box will count as a cocurrent connection meaning you could not also watch another stream on another device.

Is this correct?

It doesnt seem like it from the promo material I have seen.

It would be nice to watch something different on each setbox and then something different on a tablet/appletv

Secondly is the recordings, held in Vodafone Cloud meaning I could record on one device and watch on another?

Finally are the channels locked to Sky? Or will you be adding some other channels in time (that are not available on SkyTV)

Thanks

Hmm so looking at the guide while in catch up is troublesome, (not just catchup same issues appear live)
Can't enlarge synopsis of a program currently on but can if program hasn't been on yet or has been on
Similarly pressing record on a program on in the future cycles "rec series" --> "rec canceled" --> 'one off record' --> rec canceled that's intuitive enough but if program is on now it skips the one off record option so can only record whole series ,,,

Next question, is it possible to rearrange the app menu so tvnz is first,, my TV already handles Netflix fine and the tvnz app is so clunky to access the way it is,,

A couple of folks had asked about error codes, we've now put together a complete list of error codes for both the set top box and the mobile app.

Cheers
