Wellington | Network updates

This message is an ongoing post where we will offer network information for the Wellington region.

From time to time we may temporarily suspend or restrict a Service so that we can carry out maintenance and development work on the Network.  We will always try to ensure that we give you as much notice as is reasonably practicable and that such suspensions or restrictions take place outside normal business hours.

You can choose to regularly visit this post, or we would recommend that you subscribe (big red button below). This way, any time we post about upcoming maintenance in this region, you will receive an email letting you know.

Please also note that the maps included in each post cover an indicative area of the potential outage and are not meant to show exactly where the outage will be.

Planned maintenance and network maintenance on our fixed network

We continuously upgrade our networks to ensure Kiwis get the most reliable broadband available. As part of this, there is some upcoming work planned on the broadband network in Upper Hutt, which may result in an outage to customers in the area.



To reduce any disturbance the outage will be outside of normal business hours. Affected customers may notice their Private IP, voice over IP, and internet services are down for up to 30 minutes between 12am and 4am on 11/10. But rest assured all services will return to normal immediately afterward.

To reduce any disturbance the outage will be outside of normal business hours. Affected customers may notice their Private IP, voice over IP, and internet services are down for up to 5 hours between 12am and 6am on 9/10. But rest assured all services will return to normal immediately afterward.

Customers in Wellington may currently be experiencing complete loss of Fibre/Data services due to a suspected Fibre fault.

 

 

This issue has been identified as a high priority by our tech teams, who are currently working to resolve this.

 

While we do not yet have a resolution timeframe, our technicians are working their hardest to get this resolved for you as soon as possible.

UPDATE: Un-Planned outage on our fixed network

 

While our technicians are working their hardest to restore the fault in your area, customers in Wellington may still be experiencing complete loss of Fibre/Data service.

 

We really appreciate your patience at this time and will confirm with you on this noticeboard once the services have been restored. Again, we do apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
