Wellington | Network updates

This message is an ongoing post where we will offer network information for the Wellington region.

From time to time we may temporarily suspend or restrict a Service so that we can carry out maintenance and development work on the Network.  We will always try to ensure that we give you as much notice as is reasonably practicable and that such suspensions or restrictions take place outside normal business hours.

You can choose to regularly visit this post, or we would recommend that you subscribe (big red button below). This way, any time we post about upcoming maintenance in this region, you will receive an email letting you know.

Please also note that the maps included in each post cover an indicative area of the potential outage and are not meant to show exactly where the outage will be.

Planned maintenance and network maintenance on our fixed network

We continuously upgrade our networks to ensure Kiwis get the most reliable broadband available. As part of this, there is some upcoming work planned on the broadband network in the Wellington region, which may result in a short outage to customers in the area.



To reduce any disturbance the outage will be outside of normal business hours. Affected customers may notice their broadband services are down for up to 25 minutes between 12am and 6am on 20/09. There may also be a slight degradation in mobile services during this period. But rest assured all services will return to normal immediately afterward.

Un-Planned outage on our mobile network

 

Customers around Queens Wharf, Wellington may currently be experiencing degraded 2G/3G/4G mobile services.

 

This issue has been identified as a high priority by our tech teams, who are currently working to resolve this. We're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

 

While we do not yet have a resolution timeframe, our technicians are working their hardest to get this resolved for you as soon as possible.

Un-Planned outage on our fixed network

 

Customers in Wellington CBD may currently be experiencing complete loss of Voice and Data services due to an unplanned power outage.

 

 

While we do not yet have a resolution timeframe, technicians are working their hardest to get this resolved for you as soon as possible.

Service restored on our mobile network after an un-planned outage

All mobile services restored in Queens Wharf Wellington

If you are still experiencing any loss of service, please give your Vodafone service team a call as soon as possible.

Between 13:05 15-09-2018 and 14:51 15-09-2018 our 2G, 3G, and 4G mobile network in Queens Wharf, Wellington was impacted by an outage, due to a power outage

Customers in the area may have experienced a degraded service during this time. Fixed broadband and landline services, were not affected.

All services are now back up and running as per usual.

Service restored on our fixed network after an un-planned outage

All fixed services restored in Wellington CBD.


If you are still experiencing any loss of service, please give your Vodafone service team a call as soon as possible.

Between 13:12 15-09-2018 and 15:25 15-09-2018 our Voice and Data services in Wellington CBD were impacted by an outage, due to an unplanned power outage.

Customers in the area may have experienced a partial or complete loss of services during this time. Our Mobile network was not affected.

Although everything is now back up and running, we recommend you check any monitored alarms or any other critical services you may have running on these networks, to ensure they are operating as per usual. If they are not, please get in touch with the alarm service provider.
