Tasman & Nelson | Network updates

This message is an ongoing post where we will offer network information for the Tasman & Nelson regions.

From time to time we may temporarily suspend or restrict a Service so that we can carry out maintenance and development work on the Network.  We will always try to ensure that we give you as much notice as is reasonably practicable and that such suspensions or restrictions take place outside normal business hours.

You can choose to regularly visit this post, or we would recommend that you subscribe (big red button below). This way, any time we post about upcoming maintenance in this region, you will receive an email letting you know.

Please also note that the maps included in each post cover an indicative area of the potential outage and are not meant to show exactly where the outage will be.

Planned maintenance and network maintenance on our fixed network

We continuously upgrade our networks to ensure Kiwis get the most reliable broadband available. As part of this, there is some upcoming work planned on the broadband network in Nelson and Motueka, which may result in a short outage to customers in the area.




To reduce any disturbance the outage will be outside of normal business hours. Affected customers may notice their broadband services are down for up to 25 minutes between 12am and 6am on 20/09. There may also be a slight degradation in mobile services during this period. But rest assured all services will return to normal immediately afterward.
