Wi Fi connection issue

Hi there,  issue is as follows.  Desktop with wifi adapter constantly drops out and will only stay connected for a few minutes at a time.  Signal strength is fine.  All other devices (tv, tablets, another desktop etc) connected to router via wifi are fine and the connections stable, just this one computer refuses to stay connected.    HG659 router.  Appreciate any advice please.

Can you switch the device you're connecting to a different channel i.e. switch from 2.4GHz channel to 5GHz?
