Shared USB network printer problems
I have installed the Ultrahub, and all functionality we require works, except the USB network printer plugged into the Ultrahub.
I logged into the Ultrahub, and the following is setup:
Content Sharing is Enabled.
DLNA Streaming – DLNA Digital Media Server is enabled.
DNLA Digital Server Friendly Name is HP948c.
In red print “DeskJet 948c” is correctly shown.
DNLA Server IP Address is shown as 192.168.1.1
Samba – Shared Network and Share All are enabled.
PC Win 7 go to Add a Printer:
Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer – (printer not listed)
Find Printer by Name or TCP/IP address, click add printer using TCP/IP address.
Device Type: Select TCP/IP Device and enter IP address 192.168.1.1, Port Name the same with additional character on the end. Deselect query the printer.
Additional port information required (device not found on the network):
Select Custom / Settings
Configure Standard TCP/IP Port Monitor
Port Name and IP Address is shown as entered above, Select LPR and add Queue Name “LPR1”, click ok and next.
Detecting the driver model
Install the printer driver – Select HP and “hp deskjet 948c”
Which version of the driver do you want to use? Select “Replace the current driver”
Type a printer name: “HP948c” as shown on the Ultrahub.
Print a test page – sent to queue, but no print!
Our network worked without problem using a TP-Link TD-W8980 modem/router, with the same shared USB printer. Can someone help please?
