Thank you. That is the best reply I have has so far, even if it is confusing to an old fellow like me. I tried to follow your instructions to the letter but obviously stuffed up something. In my case the two ports required are 80 and 9000. I got to doing them but then got confused by several things, such as the entry called Internal Host. It seems to default to the iMac I am usunf. Any ideas what it should be? Perhaps a couple of screen dumps with my settings would be brilliant. Perhaps that is too much to ask. kind regards Gray

The HG659 comes with V100R001C206B013 firmware preinstalled, you don't need to downlaod it, it already has that version, also the telecom version of this model are a few firmware versions behind Vodafone's just a fyi.

I'm having marginal success with this.
Worked my way through the setup OK and forwarded a couple of arbitrary port numbers (9300 & 9301) to devices serving up web pages on the LAN side. canyouseeme.org timed out on testing these unitl I rebooted the HG659.
They then open up OK and I could see the 'webservers' from the web. However the router then seems to randomly stop forwarding them (within a matter of an hour or so) until I reboot it again. Am I doing something wrong, is it a bug, is it a fault?
