So I tried updating my HG659 firmware with the latest HG659-16V100R001C206B020_main.bin.
This bricked the router completely (just power light)
Luckily I found the restore method.
I tried to use that new firmware on the restore method with the same result.
I finally tried Sparks HG659V100R001C227B011_packet.bin and that works fine (currently using).
I also tried BigPipes HG659 firwmare as well and the same result as the Vodafone.
My modem is the Vodafone stamped HG659 (Not b version).

Thanks for your post - could you check on the back of the modem and direct message me with your serial number?

Your modem shipped with the latest firmware so no need to update the firmware. What you need to do is a factory reset - Restore Default Settings.

Factory reset won't restore the original firmware.
Why does the firmware you provide on your website not work with my router?
There should be a warning saying it will brick the older version of the router.
Please provide a link to that "latest firmware" for my version of the router.
And no more "generic answers" please. This is meant to be a technical forum.

Can you please message me your serial number and acc number? See what's going on.
