Changing Protocol and DNS

Hi, I have a Vodafone Home Gateaway SHG1500. I need to change the protocol to PPPoa with VC multiplexed encapsulation (VC-MUX) and change DNS to 202.180.64.10 (primary) and 202.180.64.11 (secondary). Would it be possible to make these changes? Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately there is no way to contact them directly. Smiley Sad Our contact numbers are:

 

0800 438 448

For Standard ADSL & VDSL broadband


0508 888 800

For Cable and Fibre broadband


I presume you have an ADSL connection, so the first number would apply. If you happen to be a Business customer, you can contact them on 0800 438 458.

Hi there - you will need to lodge a request with our tech support people to get this done as the modem cannot be configured on your end. They will get our level 2 techs will sort this out for you.

Hi, thank you so much for your prompt reply! Could I please get the contact details of any level 2 tech support people? I'm unable to find any contact details anywhere..

Thank you so much! Also, I wanted to know, does the SHG1500 work only with Vodafone internet or is it compatible with other internet providers too?

Most of our other modems are fine to use with other ISP's, but this particular model is not user configurable, so you might not be able to use it on any connection other than a Vodafone one if you're needing to configure the DNS for it. Sorry!
