I keep getting charged for sending a message using messenger even though I am using my wifi at home. It keeps on charging me $0.31. I am using a Huwaei phone and not an iPhone. Why is it happening?

@mirasolInteresting. I wouldn't imagine this would happen if you didn't have an iPhone.
00447786205094 = iMessage / FaceTime activation number.
Please private message me your number; I will check on the same.

Hi, I've removed your phone number from the above post. I asked for this in a private message not a public post (everyone can see that).
In any case, I've looked at your issue.
The SMS are not being sent to 00447786205094 as you state in this post. They are being sent to another UK number, which is not associated with Apple iMessage at all. You can log into MyVodafone and look at the number which SMS to have been charged, it is not 00447786205094. I have traced the SMS as well and can confirm they are originating from your handset and SIM card.
Hence I suggest you to check your handset, why it is sending out messages to a UK number. Probably some dodgy application installed. Maybe factory reset your handset or remove third party applications one by one until they stop.

I have the same problem. A message has sent out to this number twice and of cos I do not have any record that I have sent the message. Please advice how can I stop it. Many thanks

Could Messenger be set to be the default messaging app? <Where it looks like the messgae is being sent through messenger (over the internet), but it is also handling all sms messages as well?>
