Heading to Papua New Guinea at the end of the week. I am on a Pre-pay 19 plan (500 MB, unlimited texts and 100 minutes per month).
Being included in the Asia Pacific/North America zone the rates as indicated on your website are
txts: $0.80 per text
outgoing calls per minute: $3 plus standard rate ($0.79?)
incoming calls per minute: $1
Reading the terms and conditions of mobile pre-pay, I noted that roaming does not apply to any included minutes, txts, or data in a NZ pre-pay plan.
Am I reading this correctly? As long as I have topped up, the remainder of my unlimited texts, 500 MB of data and 100 minutes will be FREE in PNG??? And only if I use this allocation up will I be charged at the above roaming rates?
(Presumably incoming calls are still charged at $1 per minute tho?)
Aha, I read that exact same part of the prepay terms and conditions and interpreted it differently (as my original post indicates). I think it may be in Vodafone's interests to change the wording of that clause to make it doubly clear that what is meant is what you have just stated, and not what I thought the case was. Anyway, thanks for your reply Lucas!
